There is even one product that is produced exclusively in Qingdao for the Asian market: The STIHL HS 52 hedge trimmer, which is used mainly in tea harvesting.

  • Assembly of chainsaws and power tools
STIHL voted a “Great Place to Work” in China by the institute of the same name

A Great Place to Work

STIHL China is also impressive as an employer. The Qingdao site has invested significantly in recent years to make its work environment even more attractive. The improvements made include modernisations to the workshops, rest areas and employee changing rooms, as well as the opening of a fitness room and regular yoga sessions.

The reward for these investments came in September 2022, when STIHL China in Qingdao was named a “Great Place to Work” – an accolade that has been a source of great pride among the site’s employees.
